I'm an older pro from the days of film. Used to have my work in magazines. We always had to be careful of clogged up shadow areas.
I understand all aesthetics and know you love your work. There are ways to "open up" the dark shadow areas to let in more shadow detail. Just a thought. Using the D log H curve, you can selectively lighten just the shadows to allow more detail w/o destroying the rest of your tonality.
Thanks for the tips, I try to remember in future images. My editing is not very advanced and I dont know of many little things and have a lot to learn.
